HUE Delegation Visits Korea

At the invitation of Chungnam National University and Baekseok University of Korea, a five-person delegation led by Prof. Chen Xiao, President of Haikou University of Economics visited Korea from December 16th to 21st, 2019.

The delegation first visited Chungnam National University in Daejeon on December 17th, which is one of the nine top national universities in South Korea. Prof. Chen and President of CNU signed the cooperation agreement between the two universities.

On December 19th, HUE delegation proceeded to visit Cheonan Campus and Seoul Campus of Baekseok University, with which HUE had signed Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities in Haikou in September of this year. Mr. Zhang, Chairman of BU, Mr. Lee Jae Cheon, Vice President of BU and Prof Chen Xiao held talk in a friendly atmosphere, and the two sides agreed to further strengthen exchanges of teachers and students.

Saosan Office of Education and Gongju Yeongmyeong Hign School in Chungcheongnam-do were also important destinations of visit in HUE delegation’s trip agenda. Prof. Chen invited students from Korean high schools to study in China, either for summer camp tour or for diploma study.

This visit has further strengthened the exchange and cooperation between HUE and well-known universities in South Korea, and also paved the way for enrolling international students in HUE.

Mr. Chen Jiang, Advisor to the President, Ms. Wang Sa, Dean of Foreign Languages Faculty, and Ms. Sun Zhihong, Director of the Office of International Students accompanied Prof. Chen Xiao in the whole visit .
